Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portuguese speaking Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Latin American (LATAM) Accounting team in Glasgow. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the LATAM Accounts Payable Manager on the Global Systems implementation project as our business presence grows across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of Global Systems in LATAM offices, ensuring compliance with documented procedures.
  • Review and validate monthly invoices to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee the compliance validations of current and new vendors, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Support the implementation of new AP tools and processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with regional teams, Tax, and Accounting on any new changes to Country level regulations or reporting.
  • Interact with various functions, including Local Teams, IT/GTS, Accounting Teams, Treasury, Compliance & Tax, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
  • Previous experience in fast-paced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and plan ahead.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience of operating to deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
