Role Overview

As a Senior Program Manager at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding the integration of innovative business initiatives. Your focus will be on the broader organizational objectives, ensuring that every project aligns with the strategic vision of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Integration Efforts: Manage the end-to-end integration of multiple new business initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination across various teams.
  • Standardize Operations: Develop and implement standardized processes, timelines, and dependencies to enhance efficiency.
  • Governance Facilitation: Act as a governance facilitator, maintaining structured procedures and a common language for project delivery.
  • Risk Management: Establish mechanisms to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate and refine existing procedures to enhance organizational structure and documentation practices.
  • Project Communication: Regularly communicate project status, drive decision-making, and resolve escalations between teams.
  • Operational Insight: Demonstrate a deep understanding of operational processes to guide project direction.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of program managers, structuring the portfolio and functions effectively.
  • Innovative Solutions: Utilize data and research to create innovative solutions addressing broader organizational challenges.
  • Strategic Analysis: Take a comprehensive approach to analyze business operations, driving improvements across various teams.
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership to prioritize and execute improvement programs from inception to completion.
  • Performance Enhancement: Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance operational performance across all programs.
Daily Responsibilities

In your role, you will spearhead the implementation of data-driven changes within Amazon, leading various improvement projects. Your strategic thinking will be crucial in defining and executing efficient project plans. Depending on team needs, you may work on-site or remotely.

Team Environment

Joining the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team means becoming part of a diverse group that is essential to our operational success. The ATS team utilizes advanced technology in transportation and sortation to ensure maximum efficiency. Your contributions will be vital in making Amazon more innovative and effective while prioritizing safety and sustainability.

Qualifications
  • University Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Experience in managing large-scale, complex projects.
  • Proven change management and project management experience.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Excel and MS Project.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience in supply chain operations or logistics.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • PMP or Prince certification.
  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) or similar certification.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience in operational or supply chain management improvements.
