Job Title: Community and Inclusion Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Criminology graduate to join our team as a Community and Inclusion Lead. This exciting role will involve working in the Public Sector as a Serious Violence Community Co-ordinator, leading the development of community networks and support structures around violence, vulnerability, and exploitation across Richmond and/or Wandsworth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of community networks and support structures to address serious violence, vulnerability, and exploitation.
  • Implement and develop serious violence community forums in Richmond, using the Wandsworth serious violence forum as a model, and expand the community network across the boroughs.
  • Manage and oversee community forums across the two boroughs, sharing best practice and improving communications between the community network and key statutory agencies.
  • Support community members to develop skills to implement localized violence reduction projects, empower local organizations to deliver projects, and provide access to training opportunities.
  • Work with partner agencies to identify and secure sustainable funding for voluntary and community-led projects and organizations.
  • Connect organizations with the local authority and police as part of a formalized critical-incident response.
  • Provide data and ensure all service activities are planned, evaluated, and impact measured and shared with partners.
  • Assist with bid writing and project proposals to develop a community pot of funding for community-led violence reduction projects.
  • Collaborate with the Voluntary Community Sector (VCS) and the community to co-produce services that tackle issues that matter most to them and strengthen resilience.
  • Provide administrative support for forums and be accountable for the generation and monitoring of external funding and any delegated budgets.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in Criminology or a related field.
  • Experience in community development, social services, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and community members.
  • Knowledge of serious violence, vulnerability, and exploitation issues.
