This part-time position entails 30 hours per week on a fixed-term contract, with potential for extension. The primary aim of this role is to optimize resources within our practices, ensuring that patients are directed to the most suitable clinician, enhancing access, and streamlining administrative functions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive administrative and clerical support to project managers.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members.
  • Assist practice staff in implementing operational enhancements guided by project managers.
  • Conduct practice audits to optimize resources and address capacity/demand.
  • Draft project plans and proformas for stakeholders.
  • Regularly manage and update project action logs.
  • Revise or initiate practice policies and protocols as necessary.
  • Collaborate with staff from various GP practices and PCNs to ensure adherence to GPPC policies.
  • Oversee daily tasks, including correspondence management.
  • Support office systems, encompassing both paper and electronic documentation.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required.
About the Candidate

We are looking for a well-organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where each day presents new challenges. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of a wide range of administrative processes and organizational responsibilities.
  • Basic IT proficiency, including familiarity with Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Systm One and EMIS is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
  • Self-motivation and a proactive mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning capabilities.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in primary care is preferred but not essential.
