Software Development Team Leader, Platform Innovator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Team Leader to join our Site Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving innovation, mentoring top talent, and shaping the future of our platform with cutting-edge technology.
The Site Services department is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting our online transactional processes platform. This includes the delivery of real-time content across multiple devices, the sports website, and mobile and tablet products up to and including the processing and settlement of transactions driven from that content.
You will be responsible for building and leading a team of front and backend developers of varying experience and skillsets. You will measure quality and delivery, contribute to and drive improvements, while ensuring that we remain skilled, engaged, and empowered, and that our processes and technology are efficient and fit for purpose.
The team operates as a full-stack team, with core skills in Golang, Typescript, Kotlin, and Swift. The tech stack also covers SQL, Nodejs, HTML5, and CSS 3.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company's hybrid working from home policy.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting in driving the provision of a capable, reactive, and motivated and delivery-focused team.
- Enforcing governance of quality, rules, standards, and processes to ensure solutions meet Business requirements.
- Ensuring the development process is conducted in a timely fashion.
- Planning and tracking works actively, as prioritized by the product, project, and development management.
- Gaining a good understanding of the technical structure, domain, and architecture of the systems that the team are responsible for.
- Identifying and mitigating risk.
- Removing blockers to delivery.
- Working through dependencies.
- Mentoring members of the team and ensuring distribution of knowledge.
- Inputting developer appraisals and other performance feedback.
