About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Team Leader to join our Site Services department at Bet365. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving innovation, mentoring top talent, and shaping the future of our platform with cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of front and backend developers in the delivery of high-quality software applications, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of projects.
  • Measure quality and delivery, contribute to and drive improvements, and ensure that the team remains skilled, engaged, and empowered.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technical structure, domain, and architecture of the systems that the team is responsible for.
  • Identify and mitigate risk, remove blockers to delivery, and work through dependencies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Mentor members of the team, ensuring the distribution of knowledge and skills, and input developer appraisals and other performance feedback.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience with leading development teams in the delivery of high-quality software applications in client or service-side application development.
  • Passionate about working with technology and software development processes and practices.
  • Experience with Typescript, Golang, or other server-side technologies, as well as mobile technologies and performance testing.
  • Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, exposure to multiple software development methodologies, and experience with or exposure to Cloud technologies such as GCP, GKE, or SAAS.
  • Exposure to generative artificial intelligence and large language models.
