About the Company

This is a dynamic international corporation specializing in the energy sector, particularly in oil and gas. The organization has recently experienced substantial growth through acquisitions and is now seeking to enhance its legal department to facilitate this transition.

Position Overview

As the primary French-speaking legal advisor within the team, you will play a crucial role in managing legal matters related to newly acquired assets in French-speaking regions, predominantly in Africa. Your responsibilities will include drafting and revising contracts in French, ensuring compliance and alignment with the company's objectives during this pivotal transition phase. This position is initially offered as a temporary contract, with a strong likelihood of evolving into a permanent role due to the company's expansion plans.

Key Qualifications

  1. Fluency in French is essential.
  2. Qualified legal professional in England & Wales and/or France, ideally with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, or up to six years of substantial experience in contract law.
  3. Experience in the extractive industry, particularly in oil and gas, is highly desirable.
  4. Availability to commence work immediately or within a short notice period.
