About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Management Systems (BMS) Project Engineer to join our team at Dalkia UK. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for the design, specification, and project management of BMS projects, including major upgrades and refurbishment works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Design and Specification: Oversee the auditing, surveys, and BMS design phases for all new projects, ensuring a compliant and accurate design is costed and proposed.
  • Client Management: Work with and for the technical and work-winning teams to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage and coordinate all BMS subcontractor and third-party activity to ensure accurate and competitive designs and proposals are procured.
  • Project and Delivery Support: Ensure the designs and project plans are delivered and/or handed over to the Project Management teams to ensure smooth delivery on forecast, plan, and budgets.
  • Site Activities: Manage and coordinate all site activities required as part of the BMS surveys, audits, and data gathering.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
Requirements
  • Essential: Demonstrable experience working on controls projects in a multi-disciplinary project team.
  • Experience: Experience in client-facing roles and managing subcontractors.
  • Skills: Ability and demonstrable experience in providing costed controls design and specifications, commercial and financial management, control networks and remote communications, commissioning and/or maintaining control systems, working safely with electrical systems and control panels, and knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice.
Desirable
  • Experience: Experience of delivering projects in both the public and private sectors, preferably in industrial, NHS, Government, and Local Authority environments.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of multiple control systems, modern sources of energy, and ability to produce controls design documentation and commissioning documentation.
