Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Officer to join our Homelessness Prevention and Housing Options Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored housing options advice, information, and support referrals to prevent homelessness for individuals in Private Rented accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide housing options advice and support to individuals in Private Rented accommodation
  • Work with statutory services and partner organisations to prevent homelessness
  • Develop and promote the service to customers, including landlords and relevant agencies
  • Participate in a rota and cover basis to ensure statutory duties are achieved

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of working in a challenging frontline service
  • Ability to work in a statutory service and make key decisions about customer entitlement to services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team and participate in a rota and cover basis
