About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intensive Care Consultant to join our team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine/Anaesthetist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Intensive Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the Intensive Care Consultant on-call rota and Hot Week system
  • Complete regular sessions in your dual specialty
  • Perform all duties and have all responsibilities of a Consultant Intensivist
  • Contribute to the development of our Intensive Care Unit and the Trust as a whole
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Full registration with the GMC with valid license to practice
  • FFICM, EDIC or equivalent
  • CCT or eligibility within 6 months
  • Possession of / eligibility for Fellowship / Associate Fellowship of Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine
  • Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would also welcome candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Dual CCT or equivalent
  • Certificate in Medical Education
  • Membership of professional societies
