Position Overview

Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist

Diabetes Foot Protection Service

We are seeking qualified podiatrists with a keen interest in diabetic foot protection. This role is ideal for clinical professionals who are dedicated to enhancing patient care in diabetic foot health.

Our organization has secured substantial funding for transformation initiatives, collaborating with partners in the Integrated Care Board (ICB), primary care networks (PCN), and secondary care. Our goal is to improve service delivery and patient outcomes for our diabetic population in the region.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be part of the Diabetes Foot Protection Service (FPS), providing comprehensive assessments, treatment, and support to the local community. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering evidence-based podiatry care to patients at moderate and high risk.
  • Utilizing advanced assessment and diagnostic skills to create and implement care plans.
  • Working within established care pathways and adhering to clinical quality guidelines.
