Job Title: Escalator Service Engineer

We are a leading provider of urban mobility solutions, and we're looking for a skilled Escalator Service Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth, UK.

About the Role:

As an Escalator Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our clients' escalators across the region. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Servicing and maintaining customer escalators
  • Servicing escalator parts
  • Responding to mechanical failures and breakdowns
  • Carrying out safety checks and risk assessments
  • Planning and managing workload around assigned jobs
  • Maintaining van stock and ordering supplies through our supply chain
  • Recommending parts and equipment that need to be quoted or ordered to keep the escalators compliant
  • Out of hours work on a pro rata basis

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • A full UK Driving License and ability to travel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to use your initiative and work well with others
  • A positive attitude and receptiveness to change
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Superior customer-care skills
  • The ability to self-assess and take ownership of personal development
  • An advocate for H&S regulations in the workplace
