Children's Clinical Support Worker/Carer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Swanton Care & Community Ltd. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to children with complex medical needs, including intimate personal care, clinical tasks, and general support.
- Develop and implement individual care plans to promote the independence and well-being of children in our care.
- Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and other staff members to ensure the highest standard of care is provided at all times.
- Participate in play and stimulation activities to promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's care and progress.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the home.
Requirements
- Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 diploma or relevant qualification or willingness to complete relevant qualification within time frame.
- Good standard of general education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Safeguarding qualification.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience supporting children in a children's home.
- Effective communicator both verbally and written.
- Knowledge/experience of children who have complex needs relevant to service.
- Displays initiative and approach-ability.
- Displays sensitivity and awareness to multicultural issues.
- Have knowledge of current legislation.
