We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to oversee operations at our facility, renowned for its legacy in chocolate production.

Your primary objective will be to guarantee seamless manufacturing and support operations, ensuring no disruptions or shortages in facilities. You will uphold 100% compliance with local regulations, as well as Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems and standards. Your responsibilities will encompass the management and upkeep of site facilities, buildings, and equipment (both hardware and software).

Key Responsibilities

Management of Maintenance and Repair (M&R) :

  • Optimize the allocation and utilization of M&R resources effectively.
  • Develop and oversee the M&R budget for maintenance, repairs, and enhancement projects.
  • Collaborate with section management and reliability leadership to enhance financial outcomes.
  • Conducting Area Audits:
  • Perform regular audits to evaluate the condition and performance of equipment, systems, and processes.
  • Identify potential risks, compliance issues, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Work with stakeholders to formulate and implement corrective measures.

Monitoring Area Metrics:

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) to assess equipment reliability and process efficiency.
  • Recognize trends and patterns in metrics, propose improvement strategies, and execute necessary actions.
  • Regularly report area metrics to section management and reliability leadership.

Root Cause Analysis Management:

  • Investigate equipment failures, incidents, and operational challenges.
  • Conduct comprehensive root cause analyses to uncover underlying issues.
  • Formulate and implement corrective actions to avert future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technicians, to facilitate the analysis process.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians.
  • Coordinate work schedules, assignments, and training needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and established procedures.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, teamwork, and accountability.

Daily Coordination with Management:

  • Receive daily directives, priorities, and assignments from management.
  • Communicate and collaborate with management to ensure operational alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and accomplishments.

Strategic Collaboration:

  • Partner with reliability leadership to devise long-term strategies for enhancing equipment reliability and overall plant performance.
  • Align maintenance plans with broader reliability strategies.
  • Integrate reliability-focused practices into daily operations.
  • Offer feedback on the effectiveness of strategies and their implementation.

Qualifications

A commitment to advancing your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • Strong operational and manufacturing leadership experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, with expertise in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • An engineering background with robust financial acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership abilities in a collaborative environment.
  • Proven skills in analytics, problem-solving, and team development.
