Job Description:

At Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Research Scientist to join our Neuroscience team based at the London Bioscience Innovation Centre (LBIC) in St. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge discovery biology research, investigating age-related neurodegeneration with a focus on disease-associated protein clearance, oxidative and ER Stress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement novel disease-relevant in vitro models in a range of CNS-derived cell types.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in the fields of disease-associated protein clearance, oxidative stress and/or ER stress research and apply relevant knowledge to enhance experimental approaches.
  • Collaborate with members from other functional areas, including medicinal chemistry, in vivo and in vitro pharmacology, imaging, genetics, and translational sciences to drive progress.
  • Timely write-up of reports and data.
  • Communicate data in a clear and concise manner to the appropriate teams and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc, in a life sciences discipline (Neuroscience, Biochemistry, or related discipline) with pharmaceutical industrial experience.
  • Experience in molecular biology and microscopy/cellular imaging techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail in experimental design and data analysis.
