Work Hours: 9-5

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and test 4GL/ABL GUI code to meet exacting standards and deadlines.
  2. Produce technical specifications for documentation and collaborate with the development team.
  3. Develop, customize, and enhance source code, conduct unit testing, and integration testing.
  4. Work closely with the development, QA, release management, and infrastructure teams.
  5. Deliver high-quality solutions within time and budget.
  6. Manage development projects, ensuring timely implementation and adherence to standards.
  7. Identify areas for process improvement and suggest solutions.

Required Skills:

  1. Experience in delivering development projects in a commercial environment.
  2. Hands-on experience with Progress 4GL/ABL GUI programming language (Progress 9.1x, OpenEdge 10.2x).
  3. Proficiency in Progress OpenEdge Architect, OpenEdge Studio, Appbuilder, GUI for.NET, Web Services.
  4. Experience with Client Server, ADM1 & ADM2 SmartObjects, and Webspeed.
  5. Knowledge of source control management systems, including Team Foundation Server.
  6. Good working knowledge of Windows platform.
  7. Understanding of E-R diagrams, data modeling, and RDBMS concepts.
  8. Ability to manage multi-threaded projects and coordinate concurrent projects.
  9. Strong business, systems, and process analysis skills.
