About the Role

DP World is seeking a skilled Progress Software Developer to join their team. As a key member of the Technology group, you will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of a Global Progress application, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions within time and budget.
  • Provide support for existing applications, meeting agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with the team to drive continuous improvement and learning.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Facilitate and support onsite deployments of major projects.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in IT.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux Operating System and commands.
  • Full development life-cycle experience, including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Progress 4GL and/or Progress OpenEdge.
  • Working knowledge of Progress database, tables, and indexes.
  • Exposure to querying relational databases.
