About the Role
DP World Australia is seeking a highly skilled Progress Software Developer to join their team. This role will be responsible for undertaking the full development lifecycle of a Global Progress application, while adhering to the company's policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions using Progress 4GL and/or Progress OpenEdge.
- Provide support for existing applications to ensure they meet the required Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the development process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing software applications using Progress 4GL and/or Progress OpenEdge.
- Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and commands.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
