Domus Recruitment is seeking an experienced Children's Home Manager to lead the development and operation of a new residential service in Erith, Kent. As the manager of this service, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the home, following relevant legislation, regulations, procedures, and policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and national minimum standards.
- Assess the needs of children and young people, and develop individualized plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision.
- Supervise and support staff to deliver high-quality care and services.
- Oversee the development of the children's home, including the implementation of new policies and procedures.
- Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, and safer recruitment practices.
- Lead the home in establishing a quality-led service, ensuring compliance with Ofsted inspection framework outcomes.
- Liaise with parents, carers, staff, and other professionals to protect and safeguard children.
- QCF Level 5 diploma in Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Competent IT skills and ideally, holding the Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce qualification.
- Significant management experience in planning, development, and delivery of people-based services in a service delivery organization.
- A track record of achieving positive improvements and growth in service delivery and performance.
- A minimum of 2 years' recent experience of managing and supervising staff in children's social care and working in a residential setting.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience of Ofsted Inspections.
- Excellent knowledge of child protection procedures.
- Experience in managing diverse budget lines and achieving financial planning.
- A track record of developing and using relevant management information/quality systems to ensure high levels of operational performance.
