Job Title: Area Sales Manager Home Based

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our external Sales Team in a home-based role covering the South East region.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management and sales development of their builders or roofing merchant customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing an area business plan targeting merchants in conjunction with their Regional Sales Manager
  • Ensuring consistent and first-class standards of operation are adhered to at all times
  • Reviewing sales data to support commercial activity and identify customer and product opportunities within the merchant sector
  • Building effective and mutually beneficial relationships with groundworkers, brickwork contractors, roofing contractors, and dry lining contractors
  • Offering product training to merchant teams
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working in a Builders Merchants or similar external sales role selling building products to merchants.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Negotiation and account management skills
  • Good understanding of the general builder/roofing merchant sector and associated product knowledge
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office and Google Maps

A potential bonus of up to 30% based on company targets is also available.

The role includes a fully expensed electric company vehicle.
