About the Role:

Peregrine is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for the procurement of goods, works, and services to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability, and ensure supply chain risks are understood and managed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within procurement and administrative functions, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Streamline workflows to optimize resource utilization and ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a procurement and/or similar environment.
  • A high standard of Procurement competence in key areas of sourcing, process knowledge, contracting skills, and supplier management.
  • Good negotiation skills that drive positive business outcomes and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Good project management skills, product awareness, commercial acumen, financial awareness, risk, and opportunity management.
  • Demonstrate exemplary business acumen and ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to utilize the collective experience and knowledge within the team to deliver effective solutions.
  • Ability to build, grow, and influence networks, outside of own team, to support collaboratively working.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, and ability to utilize all available information to prioritize workload and communicate effectively to stakeholders.
  • Very good interpersonal skills that support collaborative stakeholder relationships, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Likely to possess CIPS L4/5 qualification, working towards or equivalent standard.
  • Must either hold Security Clearance or be a UK national eligible to obtain necessary clearances.
