Job Description

We are seeking an experienced plant-based engineer to join Liberty Speciality Steels at our Stocksbridge facility. In this role, you will promote the continuous improvement efforts of our operation in creating value and driving sustainable outcomes.

Reporting to the Department Engineer, and as a partner with the process manager and quality functions, the role will see you responsible for leading the development and implementation of process improvements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including procedures and work instructions
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plant operations or process engineering
  • Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and achieving results
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
