Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Manager to join our team at The Gym Group. As a key member of our gym operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in the successful running of the gym, including leading our in-gym service offering, line managing our team of fitness trainers, and driving commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead our in-gym service offering to drive member satisfaction scores forward.
  • Line manage and lead our team of fitness trainers, engaging and motivating them to deliver exceptional results.
  • Take ownership of our Group Exercise offering, developing the class timetable and upskilling the team to deliver.
  • Bring a result-driven mindset to drive commercial performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure high operational standards are maintained on site, including effective management of cleaning and maintenance check procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with company Health & Safety policies and complete daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
  • Support the GM with onsite admin tasks, including rotas, time tracking, and security checks.
  • Act as a keyholder for the gym in support of the GM, providing a point of contact in emergencies.

Requirements

  • Passion for health, fitness, and well-being.
  • Experience in leading teams and driving business growth.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within compliance parameters while delivering exceptional results.
  • Proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Level 2 qualified Fitness Instructor or currently studying for the qualification.
