About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service Team Lead to join our team at Co-op Digital. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and leading a team of Customer Team Members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly, welcoming, and helpful service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Customer Team Members, providing coaching, training, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Store Operations: Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational, managing diligence checks and stock accuracy to maintain a great shopping experience for our customers.
  • HR Support: Provide HR support to the Store Manager, including deputising when necessary and delivering various HR processes.
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships with the local community, supporting the Store Manager in delivering the Co-op community plan.

  • Customer Focus: A genuine care for the needs of customers and members, with the ability to strike a balance between leading and supporting the team.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues, and to develop and motivate a team.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Flexibility: The flexibility to work a range of different shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
