Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Piping Designer to join our team at John Wood Group. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for executing plant layout and piping discipline design and draughting activities within budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute design and draughting activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development (FEED) & Detailed Design) to prepare plant layout and piping drawings and design deliverables to the required technical quality.
  • Manage small teams of designers on larger projects, ensuring that design deliverables meet the required technical standards.
  • Develop and maintain a sound technical background and strong knowledge of CAD design software, including 2D Microstation and 3D S3D software.
  • Achieve safety standards as defined by John Wood Group, including carrying out onshore site surveys in accordance with our Health & Safety requirements.
  • Experience of working on Brownfield modification projects, with a strong understanding of the associated design and engineering challenges.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in database and spreadsheet software.
