About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Piping Designer to join our team at John Wood Group. As a Senior Piping Designer, you will be responsible for executing plant layout and piping discipline design and draughting activities within budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute design and draughting activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development (FEED) & Detailed Design) to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Prepare plant layout and piping drawings and design deliverables to the required technical quality with minimum input from engineering personnel.
  • Manage small teams of designers on larger projects, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Utilize 2D Microstation and 3D S3D software to design and draught piping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Achieve safety standards as defined by John Wood Group, conducting onshore site surveys as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project success.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in piping design and draughting, with a strong background in 2D Microstation and 3D S3D software.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and skills, with the ability to apply industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage small teams and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
