Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Worker to join our team at Essex County Council. As a Residential Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver good quality care and support to children and young people with disabilities
- Work collaboratively with families and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child or young person
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children and young people, promoting their independence and well-being
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and empathy
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
- Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
