Job Description

Role Overview

The HR Systems and Data Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of all HR Systems at The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. This position requires a high level of expertise in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and data governance, with a strong focus on delivering system improvements and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the use of HR Systems, resolving issues in a timely manner and escalating where necessary.
  • Collaborate with the HR Insight and Reporting Lead to provide accurate and relevant HR data, reducing bespoke requests and ensuring compliance with data protection practices.
  • Maintain all HR Reporting service suites, ensuring self-service capabilities and adherence to data governance requirements.
  • Deliver support and action as the system specialist on upgrades, improvements, and maintenance, with a focus on data quality and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of HR Information Systems (HRIS), with the ability to test and learn, implement upgrades, and carry out complex developments.
  • Provide expert advice on HR Systems and data governance, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Professional level education in HR Information Systems (HRIS) or equivalent Information Technology qualification or experience.
  • Proven delivery of system improvements and support, with a strong focus on data quality and integrity.
  • Strong experience in provision of resolutions to issues, with a focus on data protection practices and data governance requirements.
  • Able to pull up-to-date, accurate HR data from the HRIS and reporting suites, providing relevant and accurate reports.
  • Subject matter expert for HR Systems and Data in the division, with a focus on data governance and compliance.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel knowledge, confidently manipulating different forms of data.
  • Generalist HR knowledge, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
