About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Nutrition Team. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert nursing care and support to patients requiring artificial nutrition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and support to healthcare professionals, patients, and carers on all aspects of artificial nutrition.
  • Assist in the management of patient care requiring nutritional nurse specialist input.
  • Develop and maintain specialist skills in enteral and parenteral nutrition.
  • Work closely with the CNS of the Nutrition Service and deputies in their absence.
  • Identify educational needs of staff and plan and provide continuing education programs on artificial nutrition.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with 1 year post-registration experience in acute surgical or medical nursing.
  • Standard setting and maintenance of own specialist skills.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and with people with complex health needs.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and managing own professional development.
  • Ability to motivate self and others, promote team working, and evidence-based practice.
