Position Title:
Chef de Partie - Term-Time Only

Location:
Elmhurst Ballet School, Birmingham, UK

Compensation:
£13.00 - £13.50 per hour, based on experience

Role Overview

As a Chef de Partie, you will collaborate with our culinary team to prepare exceptional dishes that not only satisfy hunger but also promote overall wellbeing. This role requires a passion for food and service, alongside strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure all dishes meet the company's quality and presentation standards.
• Assist in the planning and development of menus, considering dietary needs and seasonal ingredients.
• Manage stock control and ordering processes to maintain inventory while minimizing waste.
• Work with the catering team to execute special events and themed dinners.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Stay informed about culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar role within contract catering or educational settings is preferred.
• Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized institution.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• A fun, enthusiastic attitude with strong organizational skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collective success.
