About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Gardener to join our team at the National Trust. As a key member of our gardening team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our gardens and contributing to the delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planting and maintenance of shrubs and borders, including mulching, hedge cutting, and lawn mowing.
  • Work alongside gardeners and a team of volunteers to achieve our gardening goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, answering their questions and sharing your knowledge of the garden with pride.
  • Operate a range of machinery and equipment, including tractors, hedge trimmers, and pedestrian mowers, with training provided as needed.
