About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Supported and Inclusive Learning team at Newham College London. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with additional needs to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support learners in and out of class to develop their communication, independence, employability, and life skills.
  • Assist with challenging behaviour, personal care, and mobility where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide high-quality support to enable learners to progress to fulfilled adult lives, further study, and employment.

Requirements
  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths.
