Event Coordinator Role

From thrilling driving experiencesand activities to get the adrenaline pumping, to first class conference andevent spaces.

We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to join our team at Mercedes-Benz World. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth execution of events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of event planning, including internal and external events.
  • Manage effective and efficient relationships with internal and external parties to deliver the right experience to customers and clients.
  • Chair operational meetings to ensure all departments have the correct information to deliver each event.
  • Upsell to clients to achieve maximum revenue.
  • Maintain a working relationship with preferred supplier lists.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of venue and vendor offerings and take clients on tours of venue possibilities.
  • Coordinate event entertainment, AV, decoration, and any other ad-hoc requirements the client is looking for.
  • Issue invoices and collect payments in a timely manner.
  • Manage and oversee events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors.
  • Create sales opportunities for future events during client liaisons and during events.
  • Support the Sales & Events Manager where required.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others.
  • Commercial acumen and business awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • IT skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • An aptitude for conducting targeted research to develop new sales leads.
  • Organization and time management, keeping to deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Maximizing sales.
  • Team player.
  • Data entry – online events system.
  • Experience with chefs, kitchen, and food would be preferred.
  • Previous experience of an event environment is essential for this role.

The salary will be depending on skills and experience. Based on a Maternity Cover 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
