Event Coordinator

At Absolute Taste, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning, including internal and external events.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage event planning from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional events.
- Chair operational meetings to ensure all departments have the necessary information to deliver each event.
- Upsell to clients to achieve maximum revenue.
- Maintain a working relationship with preferred suppliers.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of venue and vendor offerings, taking clients on tours of venue possibilities.
- Coordinate event entertainment, AV, decoration, and other ad-hoc requirements.
- Issue invoices and collect payments in a timely manner.
- Manage and oversee events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event setup, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors.
- Create sales opportunities for future events during client liaisons and during events.
- Support the Sales & Events Manager as needed.
- High attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure to meet targets.
- Excellent organizational skills, with flexibility to adapt to changes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others.
- Commercial acumen and business awareness.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- IT skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Aptitude for conducting targeted research to develop new sales leads.
- Organization and time management, keeping to deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Maximizing sales.
- Team player.
- Data entry – online events system.
- Experience with chefs, kitchen, and food would be preferred.
- Previous experience in an event environment is essential for this role.
