About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waste Management Supervisor to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our collections and street cleansing crews, ensuring that our services are delivered to a consistent standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the collections and street cleansing crews, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver our services to the highest standard.
  • Service Delivery: Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance service delivery.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to our health and safety policies and procedures, and that all necessary safety checks are carried out.
  • Team Management: Manage staffing levels and holidays to meet business needs, and ensure that all staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that we are delivering a high-quality service.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of waste management operations and health and safety procedures.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Qualifications: Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths, with A-Levels or a Degree in a relevant field an advantage.
