Job Title: Waste Management Supervisor

At Biffa Waste Services Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waste Management Supervisor to join our team. As a Waste Management Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of several operational teams, ensuring they work safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor and evidence that collection and cleansing standards meet contractual obligations within Manchester City Council.
* Assist the Operations Manager with daily operational activities in an effective and efficient manner.
* Comply with Biffa's policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
* Segregate waste to maximise the amounts that can be recycled.
* Assist members of the public and other site users to deposit and segregate their waste.
* Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping duties to site equipment and facilities.
* Control site traffic and assist site users to ensure safe and efficient site use.

Requirements:

* Ability to work to own initiative.
* Health and Safety qualifications.
* LGV Driving Licence (or prepared to undertake fully funded training to achieve this).
* Previous management experience.
* Knowledge of existing and upcoming environmental and health and safety legislation.
* Geographical knowledge of the contract area.
