Overview:

  • Evening/Night shift
  • Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 11:30 PM

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform decontamination and sanitation of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Examine instruments for integrity, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
  • Organize and prepare instrument trays and sets following established guidelines.
  • Utilize and maintain sterilization machinery, including autoclaves.
  • Oversee and document sterilization protocols to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Manage the inventory of sterile supplies and initiate orders for replenishment as necessary.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with surgical and medical personnel to guarantee the prompt availability of sterile instruments.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of sterilization processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (e.g., CRCST or CBSPD).
  • Prior experience in sterile processing or a related field is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with sterilization methods, equipment, and infection control practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport equipment and supplies as required.
