Job Summary:

AmcoGiffen is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager - Senior Authorised Person to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing the design delivery process, primarily dedicated to schemes within our framework. You will be responsible for managing the production of deliverables in accordance with management systems to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project remits and develop relevant engineering processes and deliverables for the complexity and scale of projects.
  • Prepare and manage design reviews, arrange and attend meetings with clients, designers and colleagues to secure design and implementation.
  • Review project generated documentation, including CPPs, WPPs, TBs, Specifications, and drawings.
  • Provide approval for construction methodologies and brief out changes to standards to the project team throughout the lifecycle of the project/programme of works.
  • Direct management of up to 20 field engineers, ensuring resources are efficiently deployed to manage the workload in addition to maintenance.
  • Work with regional engineers to deliver larger projects, including upgrade and refurbishment of bridges, lock gates, etc.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Electrical Engineer - electrically qualified to Level 3 (minimum) with supporting mechanical knowledge.
  • SAP - Senior Authorised Person qualification within a contracting organisation.
  • Extensive industrial, mechanical and electrical asset maintenance, project experience.
  • Knowledge of CRT (Canal & River Trust) assets would be advantageous.
  • Out of hours and on call work will be required to respond to faults as they are reported.
  • Working knowledge and experience of mechanical and hydraulic system project/maintenance.
  • Experience working on similar projects such as moving structures, pumps, SCADA equipment, PLC's, etc.
  • Full U.K Driving License.
