Job Title: Intervention and Pastoral Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Intervention and Pastoral Assistant to join our team at a specialist school near Guildford. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health and be able to provide support to children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role:
  • Provide individual and group support to students with SEMH needs
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized support plans
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure seamless support for students
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
