Job Title: Assistant Psychologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team at The Nook Therapy Clinic. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting our qualified psychologists in the delivery of psychological services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist qualified psychologists in the delivery of psychological services, including assessment and intervention under supervision.
  • Conduct parent Autism and ADI-R interviews and administer Autism and ADHD screening tools.
  • Support the service in the delivery of training initiatives and contribute to research projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines and agencies to ensure optimal use of psychological skills and principles.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records and securely store and retrieve necessary information/documentation.
Requirements:
  • An Honours Degree in Psychology recognised for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • Graduate level training includes knowledge and experience of research and research methodology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients and carers who may have communication problems.
  • A high degree of organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively.
  • Experience working with people with mental health problems, disabilities, or special needs.
