Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at HMP Oakwood, providing high-quality care and support to individuals within the prison environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based interventions for individuals with mental health needs.
- Manage a caseload and work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Work with individuals from initial assessment through to discharge, including transferring care to other providers as necessary.
Inclusion, part of Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, provides caring and effective services across England, including prison substance misuse and mental health teams. We offer training and development opportunities, as well as the support of an NHS employer experienced in providing prison healthcare.
Requirements- Professional qualification (Degree & Postgraduate or equivalent) and/or relevant experience in a comparative setting.
- Evidence of continued development and up-to-date skills base.
- Sound knowledge of blood-borne viruses and harm reduction approaches.
- Experience of working with drug and alcohol users and within a prison environment.
