Job Title: Programme Leader & Lecturer in Criminology & BTEC Law

Hours: 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week)

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday

Location: Sunderland

Salary: £33.00 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Programme Leader & Lecturer to join our team, specializing in Criminology and BTEC Law. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Criminology and BTEC Law programmes, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Criminology and BTEC Law programmes, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lectures across the Criminology and BTEC Law courses.
  • Support the development of the curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and aligned with industry standards and educational best practices.
  • Provide academic support and mentorship to students, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider goals of the department.
Requirements
  • A strong background in Criminology and Law education, with experience in delivering and developing related courses.
  • Proven leadership and organisational skills, with a focus on fostering an inclusive learning environment.
  • The ability to inspire and engage students through creative and effective teaching methods.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and improving student outcomes.
