Assistant Headteacher for SEND and Inclusion

Integrity Education Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Headteacher for SEND and Inclusion to join our team at a primary school in Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the school's SEND and inclusion provision, ensuring that all pupils receive the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of the school's SEND and inclusion strategy
- Ensure that all teachers have the necessary skills and knowledge to support pupils with SEND
- Quality assure the teaching of SEND pupils and SEN provision map
- Lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection
- Lead strategies to secure excellent behaviour for learning for pupils with SEND
- Lead on the support and provision for Looked After Children (LAC) and Young Carers
- Analyse performance and behaviour data of SEND and maintain a strategic overview of interventions
- Lead the induction of SEND pupils and contribute to an enriched induction offer
- Lead strategies to support pupils to develop good mental health and high levels of resilience
- Quality assure any alternative provision offered to pupils and monitor engagement
- Provide strategic leadership of provision for pupils with medical needs
- Support liaison with external agencies to secure provision for pupils with SEND
- Support liaison with the local authority to secure appropriate additional funding for pupils with SEND
- Lead professional development of staff to develop their inclusive practice
- Provide strategic leadership of the induction of pupils who join in-year
- QTS
- Successful experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
- Track record of raising standards across a whole school or across departments
- Proven ability to deliver well-planned and stimulating lessons
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of effective behaviour management strategies
- Deep knowledge of what constitutes effective teaching and learning
- Ability to use evidence to inform practice
- Demonstrable experience of devising effective strategies to support disadvantaged pupils
- Knowledge of current educational policy, recent educational research, and initiatives
