MaxAd Recruitment Ltd is seeking a seasoned Technical Engineering Manager with extensive experience in precision sheet metal fabrication to enhance our client's technical capabilities and service delivery to their esteemed clientele.

Our client, a prominent player in the industry, serves a diverse array of sectors including aviation, consumer electronics, industrial applications, marine, medical, retail, vending, telecommunications, and energy. They are celebrated for their ability to provide high-precision, small-batch products while adapting to fluctuating demands.

This pivotal role is designed for a forward-thinking Technical Engineering Manager who is ready to innovate, propose fresh ideas, and take charge of engineering quality and cost management for global projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the cost engineering team to generate quotations, manufacturing strategies, process routings, and bills of materials.
  • Supervising quality control measures and inspection teams to guarantee that engineering solutions yield high-quality products with minimal rejections.
  • Leading the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
  • Providing KPI reports to the board and contributing to factory layout and design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the cost engineering team to produce quotations, manufacturing solutions, routings, and bills of materials.
  • Overseeing quality control processes and inspection teams to ensure engineering solutions deliver quality products with minimal rejections.
  • Leading the NPI process.
  • Reporting to the board on KPIs and providing input into factory layout and design.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with existing clients across various sectors.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure adherence to technical compliance standards such as AS9100.



Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial engineering acumen in a precision sheet metal engineering context, with a solid understanding of quality procedures related to AS9100 or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Capability to implement effective performance metrics across all areas.
  • Financial literacy, including cost and margin calculations.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and a positive outlook.
  • Proficient in PC applications (Microsoft Office and CRM/MRP systems).
