Role Summary

Fresh Direct is seeking a Night Transport Operations Supervisor with a background in a dynamic operational transport setting. In this role, you will assist the Distribution Manager in overseeing the daily functions of our Transport Department.

As the Night Transport Operations Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to provide effective administrative support to both drivers and the Transport Management team, ensuring timely deliveries to our customers across London. Reporting directly to the Distribution Manager, you will manage driver schedules, route planning, and cover for driver absences while maintaining accurate agency oversight and compliance with legal requirements.

Your role will involve deploying vehicles and drivers to meet business and customer needs efficiently. It is essential that all transport documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

You will be expected to handle general administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail in managing Tachographs and maintaining the Titan and Prophet systems. As the leader of our Transport Department, you will work across various platforms, including computer systems, in-person interactions, and telephone communications, all while adhering to transport legislation and company protocols. Building strong relationships with other departments and customers is crucial, as you will collaborate with the Customer Services team to address any delivery issues reported by drivers.
