Role Summary
Fresh Direct is seeking a dedicated Transport Operations Supervisor to lead our night shift team within a dynamic transport environment. This role involves supporting the Distribution Manager in the daily operations of our Transport Department.
As the Transport Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in providing effective administrative support to both drivers and the Transport Management team, ensuring timely deliveries to our customers across London. Reporting directly to the Distribution Manager, your responsibilities will include managing driver schedules, route planning, and ensuring compliance with agency regulations and legal requirements.
Your expertise will be essential in deploying vehicles and drivers to meet the operational needs of the business and its clientele. It is imperative that all transport documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
In this position, you will demonstrate proficiency in general administrative tasks within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. A keen eye for detail is necessary for monitoring Tachographs and maintaining accurate records within our Titan and Prophet systems. As the leader of our Transport Department, you will engage with team members both digitally and in person, adhering to transport legislation and company guidelines.
Building strong relationships with other departments and customers is vital. You will collaborate with the Customer Services team to address and resolve any delivery issues reported by drivers. Previous leadership experience and familiarity with working time regulations are essential for effectively managing a team of drivers and their assistants.
