Company Overview: Staff Assist UK Limited is dedicated to matching skilled professionals with leading employers in the transportation and logistics industry.
Role Overview:
- Engage in trunking operations, moving goods between depots and swapping trailers.
- Operate double-decker trailers efficiently.
- No responsibility for loading or unloading cargo.
- Limited to a maximum of two drops per day.
- Flexible start times ranging from 12:00 to 21:00.
- Travel to various depots as required.
Key Duties:
- Safely drive HGV Class 1 vehicles in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Ensure timely completion of deliveries and collections.
- Transport all goods securely and safely.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Possession of a full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving history.
- Valid CPC and Tacho Card required.
- A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar driving role.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as necessary.
Compensation:
- Weekdays: £22.50/hour
- Overtime (after 8 hours): £27.00/hour
- Saturday: £25.50/hour
- Sunday: £26.50/hour
- Bank Holidays: £36.00/hour
