Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a multi-channel external communications strategy that meets business needs and stakeholder ambitions.
- Manage a press agency and work collaboratively with the wider Marketing team, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
- Lead public affairs work for Denplan with our public affairs agency, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and crisis communications.
- Line manage the Communications Executive, providing professional development, coaching, and support.
- Collaborate with the Head of Communications to define and lead a multi-channel external communications strategy for the Simplyhealth group.
We're looking for a talented and experienced External Communications Manager who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and work with a range of stakeholders. You'll need:
- Experience of shaping and delivering a multi-channel communications strategy.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly impeccable writing skills and the ability to be a strong storyteller.
- A strong understanding of media relations, with experience of working in a media relations team or in a journalistic capacity.
- A robust knowledge and experience of developing and leading press campaigns, creating thought leadership content for different audiences.
- Demonstrable experience of leading activity that meets the needs of multiple stakeholder groups.
- An excellent working knowledge of public relations, thought leadership, social media, and crisis communications.
- Experience of agency management and strong stakeholder management skills.
