Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Synthetic Chemist to join our client's formulation team at Reed Scientific. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing encapsulation systems, synthesising active-loaded formulations, and supporting the successful delivery of key projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimise scalable synthetic routes for manufacturing process development.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and characterise active-loaded formulations.
  • Assess physicochemical and active control release profiles.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • MSc Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience in an industrial synthetic chemistry lab environment.
  • Proficiency in physical and chemical characterisation techniques.
  • Knowledge of biodegradable materials for encapsulation of bioactive compounds.
  • Understanding of Agrochemical formulation and CIPAC methods.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in experimental design and data analysis.
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK indefinitely.
