Their automated testing and assurance services expedite technology advancements in laboratories and guarantee that new products and services function effectively in real-world scenarios. Their cutting-edge portfolio addresses the testing, assurance, and automation challenges posed by emerging technologies such as 5G, SD-WAN, Cloud, and Autonomous Vehicles.
Candidate Profile - The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in revenue accounting and a strong understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles. In addition to revenue recording, the role will involve process documentation, making experience in process mapping highly beneficial.
We seek a self-assured accounting professional capable of quickly adapting to new information, coupled with strong commercial insight. This position is suited for an effective communicator, preferably with a background in Shared Services or a large, multi-site global organization.
The role necessitates on-site presence for 3 days a week initially, which may reduce to 2 days once acclimatized and trained. The on-site requirement is essential, thus candidates should be within a reasonable commuting distance.

Role Responsibilities - This hybrid position mandates 2-3 days a week on-site attendance. The organization prefers candidates residing within a reasonable commuting distance. Standard office hours apply, though flexibility is expected around month-end processes and collaboration with the US team. This is a 7-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension, though this cannot be guaranteed.
Key Duties -
- The International Revenue Accountant will ensure revenue is recorded in accordance with IFRS standards, often involving complex agreements. This includes reviewing customer purchase orders, statements of work, master purchasing agreements, and terms and conditions.
- The primary focus will be on supporting US revenue accounting, with the flexibility to engage in any aspect of revenue recognition globally.
- Assist in documenting existing processes and controls.
- Monthly tasks will include preparing journal entries for revenue and transfer costs, as well as account reconciliations.
- Upload financial data to the corporate consolidation system and manage reporting using advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and v-lookups.
- Additional responsibilities include maintaining revenue amortization schedules, analyzing purchase price variances, and provision assessments.
- Collaboration with FP&A, auditors, accounting, tax, supply chain, order entry, commercial operations, and other global business experts is essential.
- Project management experience with analytical and investigative skills is required.
- Some flexibility in working hours may be necessary to support colleagues based in the US.
Qualifications -
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting.
- Experience in service, manufacturing, and intercompany accounting.
- Familiarity with revenue recognition regulations (IFRS 15) for multi-element arrangements.
- Experience in process mapping and enhancement.
- Proficiency with JDE E1 ERP/Accounting, Apttus, Cognos, or similar reporting tools, and Salesforce or comparable CRM systems is desirable.
- Experience in a process-oriented environment such as shared services or outsourcing.
- Strong Excel skills and effective oral/written communication abilities.
- Experience in process management and familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Quick learner, able to grasp complex transactions, agreements, systems, and documentation.
- Effective team player, capable of working in a large team environment and meeting tight deadlines.
